The Yoga Exchange, ( YogaEx )

The current price of European Yoga Network shares traded on YogaEx is: £ TBA

About...

YogaEx is a simple matched bargain market for use by members only. It is not open to members of the public. Please read the IMPORTANT NOTICE / Disclaimer, (below).

Why?

Part of the reason for setting up as a community interest company was to provide a legal structure to allow people to get in and out of investing in the network really easily – without us having to sell the company or any property, (like retreat centres) that it may eventually own.

Members are able to join and leave the project, without any major negotiations with other shareholders.

People can just sell their shares, which will avoid continuity problems caused when there is a single owner, or close ownership of the property shared by only a few people.

Shares in small, ethically oriented companies are not really suitable for trade on large, formal stock markets. So, the ability for members to sell their shares is quite restricted - unless they know of someone else who wishes to buy the shares from them.

It is expected that trading at YogaEx™ will develop over time.

What this means is that, although there will be a market for them, and yet it is likely to be appropriately unappealing for the more commercial investors such as venture capitalists.

How do I benefit ? (Members only)

The minimum investment to qualify for membership is just £1, and the maximum is currently £3,000p.a. This is to encourage a more diverse and dynamic membership - based on values other than just monetisation.

Further payments, either within a particular membership package - or upgrades can be made in a number of different ways online, without any charge or fee. Upon allotment, all shares are issued fully paid up in respect of their nominal value and no share is issued at a price greater than its nominal value.

The amount can be made up in cash, or cash equivalents - or for work undertaken - or in exchange for goods or assets, or a mixture of all of these.

What about the future of the Scheme ?

We are in communication with HM Revenue and Customs about the various tax implications of this scheme, and our ongoing statutory obligations in relation to the schemes administration.
