Yoga at the Grass Roots...

Hello, WikiGuest

Welcome to the Open Source Yoga Consortium (OSYC) Wiki website.

Everyone is invited to take part. This website is owned by whoever contributes or edits the pages, raises a question, answers a query, makes a comment or just updates something.

Here, we all value Yoga as a uniquely vibrant, open and diverse approach to life and we all want to see it continue to perpetuate as a beautiful, ancient tapestry made from many devoted hands.

But Why Yoga Wiki ?

This website is just an (almost) limitless space. It is completely open and a practical way of progressing with Yoga on the internet.

Editing is made simple. It takes less than five minutes to get started and once you get into it you will appreciate it as a democratic way to share and exchange information and ideas about Yoga.

If it all seems way to much to take in right now then maybe come back again later when you are in the right mindset ?

If you do have a spare minute or two now, just click on EDIT (top corner) on almost any page - (don't forget to create a Username if you need to - it only takes about a minute or two) and just make a start!

So - if you do nothing else just go to the MahaKala topic and try something there ?

What is a Wiki exactly ?

Some things to do

  • Browse. Read and follow interesting links.
  • Write. Speak your mind! From your browser you can change or add almost anything you see in a topic. Use regular text or WikiShorthand.
  • Experiment. Edit (almost) any page !
  • Organize. Learn to use TWikiForms and FormattedSearches to include topic information - for example, classify pages by subject, status, or date.
  • Learn more. Some good places to start:

Some basics

Editing a page:

  • click Edit at the bottom of any topic and make your changes
  • click [ Preview Changes ] at the bottom to verify the topic (use your brower's Back button if necessary)
  • click [ Save Changes ] You've now edited the topic!

Creating a page

See a question mark link "?" behind a WikiWord? That means that there's no topic yet for that TWikiWord? . If you want to create a topic for that WikiWord, just click on the question mark. The topic will be created and you will be in the editor window.
